Position Description:
Summary:
This role will be responsible for, but is not limited to: identifying, developing and winning Public Sector sales opportunities, specifically, direct prospecting and selling into targeted accounts; formulating account penetration strategies and plans for long-term strategic growth and profit objectives; meeting a fixed sales quota. Reports to Senior Vice President, Government Services.

Successful candidates must have a proven track record of selling consulting services and application solutions to State and Local and US Federal Governments - The candidate will be responsible for generating sales growth through existing and new account development within the Sector through the leveraging of Equifax Consumer, Commercial, HR and Payroll services.

Description:
Candidates will be responsible for all phases of the sales cycle from prospect identification through contract award. Outstanding closing skills are a must. The successful candidate will focus on building and growing a business.

Candidate will consult with Federal Government C-level executives, program managers, contracting officers and partnership organizations to develop and implement an effective enterprise wide strategy to maximize Equifax’s Government Solution’s services and product offerings. This position will work with sales and marketing teams within Equifax to provide a full suite of solutions to Government entities that our in search of our expertise on the best solution relative to their mission.

•This individual will be responsible for developing sales strategies and solutions in order to attain company sales targets.
•Indentifies and aggressively pursues new business opportunities, prospecting for new leads using a variety of lead generation tools.
•Successfully positions solutions with a strong understanding of market and client requirements.
•Develops strong customer intimacy that results in increased sales.
•Responsible for identification of opportunities and pipeline management in support of strategic account plans and annual operating plan.
•Works closely with product management and proposal teams to develop winning approaches to customer problems.
•Communicates daily with customers and partners to understand mission requirements that align to Equifax solutions and services.
•Successfully identifies key buying influences and develops a multi-faceted winning strategy that addresses and positions Equifax into the entity.
•Leverages existing contacts and network to discover new leads and programs.
•Prepares bids and proposals in response to solicited and unsolicited RFP’s/RFQ’s.
•Leads contracts reviews and negotiations.
•Provides timely feedback to product management teams on voice of the customer data and market requirements.
•Provides detailed sales reporting on new market potential, opportunities and competitors.
•Supports competitive intelligence and marketing communications activities, including press releases and tradeshows.
•Travel Required. Position resides in Washington DC Metro area.


Position Requirements:
•7-10+ years selling data –related system solutions to the Public Sector; alternatively, services or technology-related industries could be options
•Result-focused; able to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented, global environment for a rapidly growing public company with high quality expectations.
•Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets.
•Self- starter and independent/strategic thinker.
•Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, persuasive presence and public speaking experience along with demonstrated success interacting with senior Government executives
•Demonstrated experience winning multi-million dollar contracts.
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, knowledgeable of the trends facing the information services/analytics/fraud and credit decisioning markets
•Experience working across government agencies; Law Enforcement, Banking, Healthcare and Social Services entities is required
•Ability to position a multi-faceted system solution to a variety of buying influences, including technical and purchasing decision makers.
•Experience building and managing customer relationships to seek out and identify new business opportunities.
•Ability to assess good business opportunities and drive them to a successful close.
•Demonstrated knowledge of competitive landscape and ability to develop winning strategies within that landscape.
•Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, especially across various leads in government agencies, Integrators and small business.
•Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk.
•Ability to use leading CRM tools.
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or other related field. MBA Preferred
