The Scaparotti Construction Group is a dynamic new company located on Cleveland’s east side.  The firm was formed through the purchase of one of Northeastern Ohio’s preeminent construction firms by the people who had been successfully managing the operations of the firm for over thirty years.  SCG’s staff of construction professionals continues to implement the effective management procedures that they have developed over the past three decades in delivering over $2 billion in institutional and commercial construction in twelve states across the country.   Through this acquisition, SCG has maintained a team of the best and brightest with a primary focus in providing Agency Construction Management, Construction Management at Risk, Design-Build, and General Contracting services to our educational, health care, governmental and institutional clients.

We are searching for a Business Development Manager to become an integral part of our team with the mission to expand our reach into untapped regional and national markets, while maintaining our excellent relationships with existing clients.  This individual must have outstanding relationship skills and have a proven business development track record in the region, in either the construction or architectural marketplace.  This person will be required to market both regionally and nationally, and as such, some travel will be required.  The Manager will be a critical part of the executive strategic planning team, developing short and long term regional goals and meeting those goals.  The Manager shall report directly to the owners.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in increasing levels of responsibility with proven success in marketing or business development.  A strong sales background, particularly in construction, design/build, construction management, program management, or architecture is helpful.  This candidate must be an excellent communicator with the ability to orchestrate presentations.  A competent, qualified, and professional appearance and demeanor is essential as a reflection of the firm you will be representing.

The candidate should be a B.S. or M.S. graduate (Architecture, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred).

The compensation package includes excellent benefits, a base salary and performance-based incentives.
