We have an immediate opportunity in Virginia for experienced Business Development Manager to manage a full range of sales activities targeting potential clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing revenues through direct management of sales opportunity generation, full sales campaign execution and large account management. Responsibilities
a. Manage consultative sales engagements, start to finish.
b. Assume responsibility for pre-sales activities.
c. Create additional business opportunities at assigned client sites through continuous client nurturing and farming activities.
d. Consult with clients to identify and define client business need, determine a solution, and develop ROI proposal
(or work with Presales team) for IT Staffing and projects for client review and acceptance.
e. Proactively identify, locate, and qualify new business leads.
f. Establish & maintain industry contacts leading to specific business opportunities.
g. Represent the company at qualified industry meetings/events to promote companies services and solutions.
h. Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner.
i. Successfully and professionally deliver presentations to key clients.
j. Possess strong initiative capability with ability to work independently as well as part of a teamk.
k. Self manage work load and work with people at all levels of an organization
l. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
m. Solid understanding of business dynamics and financial planning, and create and drive revenue within a specified vertical
n. Generate business opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting and cold-calling.
o. Develop strategic vertical business plans.
Requirements:
* Requires related BA/BS together with at least 4 years of proven success in direct enterprise software sales or IT consulting sales with progressive responsibility, including 2+ years in a sales management role.
* Superior leadership and sales management skills are essential for this role as is a demonstrated ability to engage and communicate at the C level. A successful track record of closing projects, selling IT consulting services, managing staff consultants and collaborating with recruiting and management.
* Demonstrated experience of effective prospecting, pipeline management, sales process responsiveness and deal closing process
* Impeccable attention to detail for proposal and quote generation - and all client communication.
* You must possess superior communication & presentation skills, a relentless focus on objectives, an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and an ability to execute on multiple priorities to be successful in this fast paced environment.
* Must be good at developing and articulating an ROI to C-Level Executives, and possess a demonstrated ability to make strong business cases for technology solutions.
* Experience selling under disciplined, formal sales methodology is essential.
* Familiarity with resource management / project management software a plus.
* Some travel required.
* Sales with IT Product selling experience are welcome.
Compensation: Starts from $40K to $75K based on experience. With a) $20K to $40K base as variable on target and increased variable proportion after target (no cap)
