The Monitor Group, Inc. (“TMG”), a leading wealth management firm based in McLean, VA, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its team of professionals to expand the firm’s client base. In this very visible role the Business Development Manager works directly with the President of the firm to increase target market awareness of the firm’s exclusive services and expert professionals. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales/marketing professional with excellent time-management, organizational, communication skills, with an eye for detail. This job requires a high degree of motivation.
Job responsibilities include:
- Successfully identifying new high net worth clients each year to achieve growth goals of the firm.
- Qualify prospective clients and screen for compatibility over the phone. If qualified, schedule appointment and gather appropriate data.
- Manage prospective clients through TMG’s “prospect to client” program and sign as new clients.
- Run the day-to-day operations of the Business Development Department.
- Provide weekly reports to President on prospect pipeline, marketing activities and results.
- Work with the President and other professionals to implement and maintain a strategic marketing campaign to build company brand awareness in national, local and regional markets.
- Capture, import, and analyze company and industry data to identify improvements to current internal and external sales and marketing processes and efforts, and uncover new markets for penetration.
Candidate requirements:
- CFP or CFP candidate
- 5 plus years of experience and successful track record in business development or marketing.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team environment and make substantive contributions.
- Enthusiasm and a high motivation for success.
- Professional appearance and behavior
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and maintain information projects and tasks efficiently.
- Experience and success in leading a team and department.
- Ability to analyze data and reach conclusions.
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, finance, or economics a plus.
