Reports to Sr. Business Development Executive

The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities and generate revenue for Cognitec’ s products, in particular in the market related to video surveillance. The Business Development Manager should expect to spend the majority of their time creating demand for Cognitec products by generating sales leads through multiple channels. The ideal Business Development Manager possesses several years of business development experience in the security, video, or biometrics industry, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity. The Business Development Manager should have a University degree in Engineering or similar and at least five years of job experience in related business fields. IT industry experience and previous experience with a CRM tool are a plus.
· Actively generate new leads
· Close business and generate revenue to meet and exceed revenue targets
· Establish new business fields for the company in the USA and Canada
· Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationship
· Perform lead follow-up and qualification
· Identify business opportunities
· Generate quotations and follow-up to turn into orders
· Provide product installation and implementation support to prospective clients
· Perform product demonstrations to prospective clients
· Deliver and install trial systems at selected client sites
· Provide feedback to Product Management on product enhancements
· Maintain current and accurate account status report
· Build, execute, and maintain a market and product specific business development plan
· Keep up to date with competitive products and technology and communicate
updates to Management
· Represent the company in a professional, knowledgeable manner
· Understand complex customer requirements from both a business and
technical perspective.
· Proven history of developing qualified leads and meeting quota for selling software
· Ability to effectively communicate technical information
· Ability to work in a changing, demanding, and fast growing international company
· Ability to work under deadline pressure and meet the deadlines
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter
· Willingness to travel and work in a global team
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Exposure to products to the markets of video surveillance, people screening or
advertisement is a plus
