Growing aviation company located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will report directly to the President.  The BDM will work with all levels inside and outside the company on creative development, product and service sales and marketing efforts.  Extensive knowledge of rotary or fixed wing aircraft and the supporting industries required.  Government contracting experience preferred.  Salary plus commission.

The successful candidate will take the lead in providing strategic plans, leadership and vision.  The BDM will plan and evaluate marketing strategy, coordinate public relations, review proposals and cost estimates and provide overall business development direction for the company.

Job Requirements:

Degree required

BD Experience in an aviation-related firm

Experience or working knowledge of Air Force and Navy customer bases with knowledge of aerospace and defense business and acquisition practices.

Aerospace & Defense sales experience.

Proven track record of capturing $1M plus programs.

Capture and proposal management experience.

Travel as required.

Ability to identify opportunities for the company and skills on closing sales and projects.

Understanding of strategic planning and can help identify and target company growth.

Strategic and tactical business planning capabilities.

Diplomatic at all business levels within a company.

Out-of-the-box thinking skills. Visionary.

Personable leader internally to the company as well as externally to the customer.
