

Job Description:
This sales position would primarily sell our proprietary asset management services to large institutional Pensions, Union Plans, Endowments & Foundations and Investment consultants. This position would also educate the Morgan Keegan distribution channel about our Institutional asset management products and services.
The primary location for this position will be in Birmingham, AL.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
-A minimum of 3 years of Investment experience preferred.
-Thorough knowledge of large Institutional Asset Management Business
-Possesses effective and proven sales experience.
-Knowledge of appropriate compliance regulations.
Representative Activities:
-Sell and promote investment opportunities to institutional prospects.
-Act as an "advisor" for the investment needs of the individual customer as well as groups and organizations.
-Complete the profiling of prospective clients.
-Initiate contacts for developing and closing new business.
-Maintain a continuing relationship with existing customers to retain their goodwill and to develop additional business.
-Report regularly on calls made. Keeping the department informed concerning the status of new business accounts in process.
-Report sales activities to and coordinate with Director of Institutional Sales.
-Participate in community activities to enhance the position of the company.
Key Differences:
-Strong investment sales skills, especially to large institutions.
-Experience selling to endowments and foundations
-Experience selling to Retirement plans
