Sonderhoff is the Global Manufacturer of polymer sealing materials, customized dispensing machines, as well as complete services for gasketing, gluing and potting applications, all under one roof.
Since 2003, the Sonderhoff Group’s US facility, located in Elgin, Illinois has been successful in the US market, with steady growth. We provide manufactures and suppliers in the automotive, packaging, lighting, filter, electronics, and many other industries with customized solutions from our extensive line of polyurethanes foam gasket and potting systems. The Sonderhoff system combines the chemical expertise with creative engineering services in the areas of mixing and dosing, as well as process engineering, combined with a range of services that has only one goal\: satisfied customers. Sonderhoff supports new ideas and creativity, which are necessary to maintain the lead and remain faster and better than the competition.  This position will cover the Southeast United States territory and will not have direct reports.  It will be an individual contributor role.  Candidate is able to reside anywhere in the Southeast.



What we offer

Incorporate the sales strategy for the territory and drive the execution of all sales to achieve new levels of top line revenue contribution with the sales team. This involves a business development process and a go-to-market strategy combined with the establishment of clear metrics and processes to fuel revenue growth to meet or exceed budget.
Analyze the market trends and the price development.
Negotiate contracts with customers.
Thoroughly understand the dynamics, trends, competitive environment and key factors for success in Sonderhoff’s products, operations and services, and transfer this understanding into a clear strategy and tactical plan to ensure Sonderhoff is the market leader within its targeted market sector.
The strategy and tactics should address all aspects of service, sales, production, marketing and customer management, and logistics. 
Along with sales and marketing teams, develop outstanding relationships with major customers and vendors, in order to foster partnerships that ensure mutual performance and growth, while creating strategic advantage for the customer and Sonderhoff. 
Working with the service department, maintain high quality service to all customers.
Effectively utilize service training program for customer satisfaction and savings.


Who we are looking for


Candidate will have a well-rounded, business-oriented chemical/machining background with outstanding leadership skills. Preferably, the person will have familiarity with machine engineering, equipment manufacturing, sales, and service.  The individual should have excellent communication skills and be able to represent the firm effectively to its multiple client and vendor base. This person will be a key employee of Sonderhoff in the North American marketplace with clients, potential customers and vendors/suppliers.
Engineering degree related to machinery or equivalent work experience.
5-10 years industry experience with proven success in sales.
Maturity, credibility and unquestioned integrity.
A high energy level, passion and strong work ethic.
Exhibit respectful and professional conduct in dealing with all people. Strong persuasive abilities.
Decisive, action-and result-oriented. Doer as opposed to a delegator - “hands-on”.
Team player with excellent organizational skills.
An ability to approach issues knowledgeably, decisively, and pragmatically and to subsequently devise reasoned solutions to problems.  An excellent problem solver.
Ability to determine and share the strengths and weaknesses of Sonderhoff versus its competition, as well as opportunities and threats in the North American markets.
Spanish speaking ability a plus, however not required.Ability to travel overnight on a weekly basis.
