The role holder adds value to the strategic direction, planning, budgeting and performance of the Global Corp., Commodity Traders and Latin American region businesses in support of the Head of Business Finance in the Americas. Annual revenues of $250m for both Onshore and Offshore. |
* Develops strong working relationships with key business personnel to ensure timely identification and resolution of issues. * Supports the local Head of Business and Head of Business Finance in ensuring the integrity of reporting with particular emphasis on Return on Capital, offshore revenues, and capital improvement. * Challenges the performance of the business in-country and facilitates implementation of business plans. * Identifies, interprets and applies key performance indicators and coaches business managers to use these indicators for competitive advantage in order to enhance shareholder value. Specific KPIs include but not limited to the following: - Monthly performance analysis for Global Corp., Comm Traders, Latam/OCC - Quarterly forecast for above areas/OCC - Capital analysis for above areas/OCC * Assesses and understands the accounting implications of system changes. * Contributes to the redevelopment of the reporting processes, such as cost center changes, product and segment realignment. * Provides financial commentary to business heads on policy issues affecting the Business in country. * Understands Group products relevant to own business area and provides clarification on their use and application. * Provides advice and guidance on financial issues, including development of new products, to ensure the business complies with taxation, capital, regulatory and statutory accounting requirements. * Monitors business as usual and project expenditure against budget and project plans. * Participates in projects as necessary such as acting as champion for new management information systems. * Additional duties as assigned |
* B.A. in Business, Finance or Accounting * Highly proficient computer skills, including Excel, OLAP and ability to manage and transform data into information * Minimum of 3 years Business Finance experience required preferably within the financial services industry * Minimum of 3 years Accounting experience required preferably within the financial services industry * Ability to work within a highly matrixed environment * Ability to build strong relationships with business partners * Ability to influence the business partners and identify opportunities to further leverage budgets/forecast targets * Adept at handling multiple tasks at once and within an extremely deadline-driven environment * Ability to demonstrate the Bank*s values in achieving objectives |
