Business Info Analyst Sr. (Pharmacy Trend and Cost of Care Analytics): Nationwide-US - PS5213


As a Business Info Analyst Sr, you will be responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to Pharmacy cost of care analyses and pharmacy trends.


Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
  • Provide pharmacy trend/spend insights and diagnostics on specific drivers of trend. Ability to create ad-hoc reporting to dive into trend nuances.
  • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
  • Provide analytical support and strategies for Pharmacy programs, makes necessary recommendations, and develops ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
  • Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
  • Develop automated procedures for monthly reporting using Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Taking business issues and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
  • Coordinate with different departments to obtain business requirements and program measurements.
  • May make recommendations based upon data analysis.
  • Clearly and concisely present pharmacy program analytics both orally and in written format.
  • Produce comparative reports that detail performance relative to other markets.
  • Prepare presentation and written reports that synthesize and summarize data for pharmacy program performance.
  • Ability to create queries to conduct reporting in SQL and/or SAS and experience manipulating and processing large datasets.
Qualifications
  • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; minimum of 3 year's experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with large databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills.
  • Requires strong analytical background and proficiency with SQL and/or SAS, Access, and Excel.
  • Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs is preferred.
