Business Intelligence Analyst

Zions Bancorporation is now accepting resumes for our Business Intelligence Analyst in our Credit Reporting Department.  The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to work with business unit managers and end users, affiliate banks and Data Warehouse systems teams in prioritizing data and information requirements for management reports. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

  •  Determines reporting needs; designs, creates and generates reports required to facilitate effective business decisions.

  •   Reviews and analyses the source and integrity of data that may be used for management decisions.

  •   Performs modeling of data sources and flows, works with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop, and implement management reporting policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information. 

  • Monitors customer usage, system reporting tools, and production systems.  Recommends and makes enhancements to reports and supporting systems.  Must understand all affiliate banks lending and deposit data information and processes.  Performs other duties as required.

  • Develops and implements Affiliate and Corporate ALLL process (revised for new grading methodology - MDM).

  •  Creates prototypes in Microsoft Access and write business requirements to have IT develop in Oracle.

  •  Creates input process for data gathered outside of CIR (FAS, MARS, Consumer Loss Forecast, etc.).

  •  Automates Standard Loan Report.  Tests Categorization process. 

  •  Creates Preliminary Standard Loan Reports in Excel. 

  •  Develops and Implements Affiliate and Corporate Real Estate Portfolio Reports process using standardized source data process. 

  •  Revisits Problem Loan meeting Reports & Risk Measurement Reporting process for efficiency.  Develops Ad-Hoc & Custom Report Tracking to provide up-to-date information. 

  •  Develops Existing Report Version Tracking to track the progress of existing reports as they go through updates as well as providing historical tracking of changes made to each report. 

  •  Develops Ad-Hoc Credit reports.


 
This position requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Finance or Accounting and some experience with data warehouse systems and databases, various types of reporting tools, software programs and data modeling or other directly related experience.  Requires extensive MS Access and Excel knowledge.  Business Objects experience preferred.  Basic knowledge of business intelligence tools and systems; relational databases, report writing, data warehouse system process and data modeling.  Ability to analysis data and audit information for accuracy.  Must have solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.  Ability to make sound decisions and resolve problems.  Ability to understand multiple affiliates lending and deposit data and processes.
