The Business Intelligence Consultant will participate in the design, development, and implementation of customer BI solutions utilizing 3rd party BI tools. The BI Consultant also works with clients to understand, analyze, and refine the application requirements and, where needed, provides guidance on selection of BI tools and methodologies. Once the design has been validated and endorsed by future users and IT, the BI Consultant will turn it into a working and optimized application. The BI consultant will unit test and deliver the application for an integration test. The BI Consultant demonstrates a high degree of BI tool expertise and development skills. 1. Interfacing with client personnel on all aspects of the BI Team activity within the overall engagement.
2. Support enterprise architecture requirements and design as they pertain to the optimal deployment of Business Objects in a large scale Teradata environment.
3. Capture business requirements from client personnel as input into technical architecture decisions, level-of-effort estimates and schedule for deployment of BI applications.
4. Interface with Teradata PS Engagement Manager on planning and execution of all BI-related work streams. Be responsible for project management life cycle activites pertaining to the BI Team.
5. Provide hands-on support as needed to ensure that BI tasks and deliverables are produced on schedule and to quality specifications. Development activity will include (but not be limited to) logical and physical data modeling leveraging Teradata design principles, semantic layer modeling and design, universe design and development, report design, development, testing and deployment, dashboard design, development, testing and deployment, user documentation, knowledge transfer of Business Objects best practices to client IT staff.
