CHS is seeking a Business Intelligence Lead/Architect to join our growing Information Technology Department. You will lead our Business Intelligence development and support group. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently.
You will:
• Primarily have responsibility in architecture, design and development of enterprise solutions
• Develop within the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack including: Visual Studio.net, SQL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and Share Point
• Work with Business Analyst to prototype, refine, test, and debug solutions to meet requirements
• Architect and design relational and multidimensional data marts, OLAP reporting, web interfaces, dashboards, and scorecards
• Instruct, direct, and check the work of junior programmers with respect to development best practices and new technologies
• Perform technical walkthroughs and code reviews
• Create comprehensive test plans, including individual unit test plans and system test plans
• Provide end-user support for assigned applications (includes some on-call support during non-business hours)
• Investigate and resolve system problems in a timely manner
• Identify, define, write and maintain architectural design and software support documentation
• Collaborate with the business subject matter experts, business analysts, functional leads, architects and technical leads from other disciplines to architect and design end solutions derived from the assigned business requirements
• Advocate, document and implement standards and best practices throughout the SDLC for data warehousing, SSAS and BI development efforts
• Meet programming/development deadlines as determined by supervisor/manager
• Accurately estimate and time line development efforts for enhancements and projects
• Modify, enhance and maintain applications as required
• Assist with the development and preparation of project plans and schedules
• Adhere to CHS Inc software development methodology and standards and accepted internal development standards.
• Develop strong relationships with partners and end-users that allow work to move forward with a common understanding
Basic Qualifications: (required)
• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum of 9 years of IT experience
• 5 years of Business Intelligence, Software and Application Development and multidimensional cubes and expressions (MDX)
• 3 years of Architecture experience
• 3 years experience with Microsoft Analysis Services Tools, Excel Services Performance Point and SSRS (report writer)
• 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 and Stored Procedures
• Previous supervisory or lead experience
Preferred Qualifications (desired)
• Experience with MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010
• Experience with SQL Server 2000 DTS, Server 2000 Analysis Services
• Experience with IBM DB2 based solutions
• Experience with Windows SQL Server clustered environments
