Business Line Compliance Specialist II

Manages financial activities, including accounting and financial reporting, budgeting and expense management, financial analysis and forecasting, financial regulatory compliance, information systems security and merchant reviews. Ensures thorough evaluation of financial aspects of division's business decisions, maintains integrity of accounting and financial reporting and provides economic, strategic and operational planning information and analysis. Manages staff, establishing goals, performance standards and metrics and evaluating results. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.

Requirements:

4-year degree in finance, accounting or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 7-10 years finance or accounting experience required. Excellent understanding of private label credit card industry finance and accounting practices, including FASB and GAAP regulations and other related legal and regulatory guidelines. In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Demonstrated expertise developing accounting policies and systems. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Supervisory experience required. Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong understanding of accounting and finance technology applications. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. PC skills.
