Business Management Analyst

About the Job

Business Management Analyst (BMA) & Business Management Manager (BMM)

The BMA analysts/manager will provide support in the following areas of financial and contract management at the project level:

Set Up
•    Participate in pricing process for the effort
•    Participate in contract kick off meeting
•    Set up contract structure and budget in Deltek

Monitor
•    Preparation of project reporting as well as Kaseman internal financial reports
•    Prepare client invoices in accordance with the billing plan and contract
•    Execute receivables follow-up, monitoring variances, and discrepancy follow-up
•    Ensure internal controls and financial excellence at the project level, including GAAP and DCAA compliance
•    Monitor, report and advise on contract financial status to project manager and Kaseman leadership
•    Perform collection, tracking, and reporting of time report expenses and other expenses
•    Track and report  third-party out-of-pocket expenses, hardware/software costs, and client time and expenses against contract budget, and any other expense charges to contract budget
•    Perform work plan reconciliation and reporting, processing financial transactions, and tracking time and expenses
•    Prepare or advise in workplan/financial forecast and metrics reports
•    Advise on engagement capital assets and technology rental equipment
•    Validate that subcontractor expenses and revenue being recognized in the same month
•    Calculate “Percentage of Completion” for fixed fee contracts
•    Manage, distribute and update the burn reports to each project manager after each payroll period
•    Facilitate financial audit process with the client, internal reviews or external audits

Close
•    Make sure all revenue and expenses have been recognized as we approach funding limits
•    Keep track of POP end date and funding limits
•    Perform and advise on engagement shutdown activities: preparing, reviewing and collecting final bill, performing final reconciliation, closing job numbers and preparing final reports
•    Collaborate with contract management team to close the contract with the client/government



Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or other related discipline.  Master’s degree preferred.
•    Very proficient with MS Office and Deltek or similar system.
•    Recent financial statements preparation, analysis, and reporting experience: 3-10 years.
•    Recent budget, general accounting practices and management activities experience: 3-10 years.
•    Recent Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) experience: 3-10 years.
•    Working knowledge of resource planning, evaluation, implementation, and oversight.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Highly organized, energetic, creative, passionate, works well with others.
