Business Manager Home Health and Hospice

About the Job

The Business Manager provides operational, financial and analytical expertise for Hinds Home Health and Hospice. The Business Manager collaborates with the Regional Managers to oversee operations and provide office management in the Hinds region.

 

Qualifications:

·        Degree in Health Care Administration Preferred

·        3 to 5 years managerial/supervisory experience

·        Competent in all Microsoft office applications with proficiency in Excel

·        Must have strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:                                                 

1.      Conducts on-going tracking, reporting, and analysis of trends in key operating areas with established performance benchmarks.

2.      Manages the performance of a minimum of ten non clinical employees by setting expectations, coaching, and evaluating performance.

3.      Collaborates with Regional Manager to ensure that the optimal number of well-matched personnel are employed to meet patient care needs and support positions

4.      Participates in preparation of budget for branch and monitors to achieve goals.

5.      Examines the possibilities for growth by identifying opportunities for partnerships and alliances.

6.      Manages office support work flow through effective process management.

7.      Assists in development of programs and special projects designed to gather data and ultimately improve operational efficiencies and service delivery.

8.      Stays abreast of technical, regulatory, and industry trends, analyzing the potential impact on the branch, and communicating findings to the Regional Manager.

9.      Manages systems of communication and technology that support effective communication and education.

10.  Participates in Quality Occurrence Project.

11.  Analyzes cost effectiveness of different payers and collaborates with Regional Managers to develop efficient models of quality service delivery.

12.  Takes responsibility for the facility addressing any issues associated with the building.

13.  Participates in weekly staff meetings

14.  Participates in branding efforts and in creating a positive image for Hinds and Sta-home as a whole.
