POSITION OPEN: Business & Operations Manager
DEPARTMENT: Business Operations
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for serving as chief business administrator for the district, including assisting staff and management in financial, operational, and procedural functions.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Review and analyze drivers of monthly financial variances to budget; present performance to senior management
· Develop and maintain processes for minimizing and eliminating variances to budget
· Assess current processes and identify expense related opportunities; recommend solutions for improving expense and operational efficiency
· Oversee and develop a staff of XX responsible for, but not limited to, the following functions: accounts receivable, accounts payable, daily cash reconciliation, credit transactions and warehouse/inventory;
· Responsible for efficient flow of financial and operational information to and from cable systems, division, and corporate offices ;
· Work with corporate Budget and Planning department to review and sign off on annual operating and capital budgets
· Ensure compliance with Company internal control policies and procedures and responsible for follow-up and continued monitoring of any areas of weakness and provide internal audits on a quarterly basis;
· Work closely with technical and customer service departments to provide reports monitoring productivity and overtime;
· Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances for such items as accrued payroll accounts, accrued liabilities, accounts receivable, and income statement accounts. Isolates problem areas and recommends necessary corrections.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent. CPA or MBA preferred.
· 5 - 8 years’ experience in financial and operational capacities
· At least 3 years Management experience.
· Ability to communicate effectively with managerial and supervisory personnel at all levels
· Strong Analytical and interpretive ability is required. Experience with inventory and cash balancing a major plus.
· Strong knowledge of financial spreadsheets
