Corbis is currently seeking a Business Development and Monetization Manager to determine how to optimize additional revenue streams for Corbis products.
Responsibilities:
• Research, identify, analyze and prioritize monetization opportunities of our brands (Corbis, Veer, Greenlight) via partnerships and distribution arrangements that increase website traffic to our website properties that extend distribution to new customers, distribution points and applications (“every screen, every app”)
• Develop business plans for each opportunity including pricing models, delivery costs, etc. that validate the business model and market
• Work closely with the Products team to specify what content is made available to what opportunity
• Work closely with the technology team to specify and prototype solutions
• Build and manage distributed business development and monetization team
• Develop and own negotiation strategies and deal development for each opportunity
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing launch plans for each monetization product, managing internal resources as appropriate for each opporutnity
• Work with the pricing team specialists to determine pricing strategies for business initiatives
• Analyze performance (ASP, conversion rates, user share, share of wallet, etc.) and make recommendations
• Provide ongoing program management on each monetization opportunity
Qualifications:
» Significant business development experience with any of the following categories/companies: Technology media technology ecommerce, or search/portals
» Experience in any of the following job functions: ecommerce site management, merchandising, category management, lead generation, affiliate marketing, email marketing, advertising, or of course, monetization.
» Experience in developing, launching and selling a product is a MUST; 2-3 years in consulting could be a strong plus
» Experience managing a high functioning team
» Strong analytical and Excel skills
» Technically ‘aware’, e.g. knowledge of data feeds, dealing with large data sets, lead management, behavioral/contextual targeting
» MBA preferred, bachelor’s degree required
» Ability to negotiate complex business deals
» Entrepreneurial focus and get things done attitude
» Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills and the ability to make formal and informal presentations to individuals and groups at all levels within an organization
