We are looking for individuals to join our Government Business Unit Leadership Development Program.

Through this 18-month program, participants are offered three rotational and cross-functional assignments within business and health plan operations that are designed to expose them to both the tactical and strategic initiatives of the business. The program offers insight into various departments and roles in the health care industry. But most importantly, you will work toward dramatically improving health care in our nation, one member at a time.

This position is responsible for supporting projects and the staff in multiple departments within the Government Business Division including the Proposal Management unit, Provider Services Organization and Medicaid Health Plan. This is an entry level position.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Contribute to ensure project deliverables are met, assist in documentation, and project status tracking
  • Monitor activities to ensure project objectives are met within established time frame and budgets
  • Participate in interdepartmental projects
  • Conduct provider outreach
  • Conduct market research
  • Assists in preparing financial projections as required
  • Scheduling, attending, and documenting minutes and action items for meetings
  • Supporting management in overall objectives
  • Prepare and deliver presentations as required
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, Math, IT/IS or similar major
  • 0-3 years of business experience in health care or related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • Geographic flexibility for rotational assignments

Strongly preferred but not required:
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be an experienced user of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Leadership capability/potential demonstrated by extracurricular activities, work experience or internships
