General Summary
The Business Process Analyst role will be responsible for working with key business stakeholders, functional users, and the IT organization to define, document and implement business process and systems solutions that optimize process/system effectiveness and end user productivity. In this role, the candidate will be required to independently manage key small to medium size projects from initiation to completion. As a key member of the Business Process Analysis team, this candidate will work across the organization with various business and IT stakeholders driving the system, data and process enhancements to achieve
operational excellence, high quality and support a customer-centric business strategy.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Work cross functionally across organizations to identify, document and implement enterprise level process improvements and act as a liaison
between business and the IT stakeholders.
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
· Drive and challenge business and IT stakeholders on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
· Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition, management systems and methodologies required.
· Identify gaps between our current state and leading best practices for effective usage of systems, tools and processes to improve business efficiencies and productivity.
· Contribute to the development and tracking of success criteria objectives, MBO’s, KPI’s and metrics.
Minimizes our exposure and risk on project timelines, budgets and resources.
· Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Required Skills & Experience
Oracle ERP (Financials, Order to Cash) experience is a plus.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or related experience
· 5-7 years experience in business process analysis
· Multiple Full Lifecycle implementations
· Experience with SDLC practices
· Project management training required, certification preferred
· Excellent organization, analysis, and project management skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with project documentation including business requirements, process flows, QA test plans and end user documentation
· Enterprise level systems experience – Siebel Application, Siebel Analytics, Oracle, SAP, and WebMethods is preferred
· Knowledge of and experience with formal software quality assurance techniques, including 3+ years experience as strong hands-on Business or Technical data analyst gathering requirements, delivering project scoping and implementing solutions.
· Experience in preparing UML Use Case Diagrams to outline Business Process Scenarios
· Extensive experience and understanding of one or more of the following end-to-end standard enterprise processes:
· Design to Launch
· Campaign to Quote
· Order to Cash
· Contract to Renewal
· Install to Retention
· Acquire to Retire
· Procure to Pay
· Planning and Budgeting
· Record to Report
· Hire to Exit
