Business Reporting Analyst - Professional Services Organization

Description:
The Professional Service Operations (PS Ops) function within Avid's World-wide Professional Services organization is responsible for defining and implementing processes, systems and operating procedures to ensure leverage of the global resources and consistency in measuring and managing the business. The function involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective.

A key part of the PS Ops function will be to provide reports and analytics for the worldwide organization. Business metrics will be found within three primary sources:
- PSA - Currently QuickArrow is used across the organization for resource management, time reporting, expense reporting and project tracking. Data needs to be mined from this system for analytics on the health of the business. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) come from this tool.
- Backlog tool - This Microsoft Access tool is currently being used to manage the backlog of work for the Americas and EMEA regions (95% of the business volume). Analysis needs to be done to assess the trends in backlog and work assignments, as well as forecasting revenue data.
- Diver - Avid uses SAP as its enterprise order management and financial application. This data is brought into the Diver data warehouse each day. Revenue, costs and transaction detail need to be reported and analyzed.
As the organization evolves, other tools may come into play. Examples include Microsoft Sharepoint technology (document repository), Microsoft Access (various management functions), SAP (enterprise order management and financial system), etc. This role will learn about how a Professional Services organization is operates.

Qualifications:
2 -3 Years of relevant experience
A Qualified Candidate will have:

Working knowledge of how information systems support business functions.
Expertise with MS Office products, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Detailed oriented and demonstrated excellence with business analysis.
Quick learner and self-starter.
Good communication, written and interpersonal skills.
