Project Manager & Business Analyst (Combined Role)
POSITION TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER AND BUSINESS ANALYST (COMBINED ROLE)
REPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DELIVERY MANAGER.
LOCATION: LOS ANGELES OR IRVINE, CA.
TRAVEL (TO SOUTH AMERICA) - 10 TO 20% ( each trip lasting 2 to 3 weeks )
TRAVEL (WITHIN US) – UP TO 80%
PM Responsibilities:
· Play a lead role in the delivery of engagements as well as a supporting project role contributing to the preparation of customer deliverables
· Manage the delivery of the project, assuring customer satisfaction and project profitability
· Lead a consulting team through all phases of project delivery, including all phases of the software development life cycle
· Define and manage project scope.
· Develop and maintain project plan, resource plan, and task statuses
· Identify project dependencies and workstreams for other vendors and client; define overall plan with client
· Define project team organization, assign and monitor task completion
· Facilitate technical, operational and/or business requirements gathering processes
· Facilitate staff travel, expense and time reporting
· Schedule meetings, formally document meeting minutes and action items
· Lead kickoff meetings for each project phase through closeout
· Coordinate development estimation efforts
· Manage bug triage and resolution process during testing
· Identify and communicate project risks and issues to client and internal management
· Monitor and control project execution for on-time, on-budget delivery
· Maintain project documentation
· Mentor staff and facilitate teamwork
· Coordinate with offshore team members for team communication and task completion
· Organize technical reviews and quality checkpoints
· Manage distributed (onshore-offshore) teams.
BSA Responsibilities:
· Analyze the business expectations of the Stakeholders, end users and employees of the Client.
· Lead business requirement gathering and process documentation for both new and existing project designs.
· Understand the business requirements and translate them into specific software requirements.
· Break down the technical jargons into an easy to understand language for the rest of project team members to understand.
· Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
· Be accountable for contributing to the success of business consulting and/or software delivery engagements through user requirements elicitation, business systems analysis and discovery, requirements documentation, business solution design, presentations and software demonstrations, software validation testing, user training, and other consulting activities.
· Communicate and attend meetings with both the onshore and offshore teams.
· Engage customers throughout all levels of the organization and help to ensure the AAXIS team meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Qualifications:
· BS/MS (CS, Business or equivalent); MBA preferred; PMP Certification is a plus.
Experience/Skill:
· Total of 5+ years of experience with at least 3+ years in direct project management roles.
· 1+ years experience in software requirements analysis as a BSA is required.
· Experience with desktop software (e.g., Visio, Word, Excel, etc.) and other project-based tools (e.g., wikis, source control, bug tracking, etc.) is required.
· Experience in planning and managing software delivery projects
· Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and manage project tasks, in a matrix organization
· Demonstrated skill in client relationship management and ability to lead technical and delivery
team members.

· Understanding of project management PMI methodology
· Experience of multiple full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery
· Background in Retail Industry and Ecommerce applications is definitely preferred.
· Experience with meeting facilitation, presentation creation and delivery is required.
· Experience in retail or ecommerce industry is preferred.
· Experience with typical ecommerce and retail/wholesale systems is preferred (e.g., POS, OMS, WMS, PIM, ERP, contact center, cash-to-order, payments, etc.).
· Consultancy experience preferred (i.e., consulting to external customers).
· Experience with ATG Commerce Suite is a plus.

Additional Information:
