Job Description

Business Systems Analyst

Key Role:
Provide guidance, advice, and support to federal CFO organizations in accounting and budget operations, financial systems analysis, implementation planning, business processes, internal controls, and policies and procedures. Recommend and revise an implementation strategy for a new account code structure to comply with the Common Government-wide Accounting Classification (CGAC) structure and other agency requirements. Apply current federal government-wide standards for financial management promulgated by the Office of Management and Budget and the Treasury.

Basic Qualifications:
-6+ years of experience with providing resource and financial management solutions, including budget planning and execution, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting and reconciliation for federal clients
-3+ years of experience with implementing major ERP COTS packages in the federal government or commercial markets
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
 
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with working in a matrixed organization
-Experience with federal government consulting in a client-facing role with government managers
-Experience with applying current federal government-wide standards for financial management promulgated by the Office of Management and Budget and the Treasury
-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
-Knowledge of federal government financial management processes, funding sources, and budget cycle
-Knowledge of how the various financial management systems, applications, and modules are used during the course of the financial management business life-cycle
-Ability to produce and understand a schematic and functional description of the current systems
-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field preferred; MBA, MA, or MS degree in Accounting a plus
-Certified Public Accountant or Certified Government Financial Manager
