Position Title:            Business Systems Analyst                                            

Reports to:      IT Manager

Location:         Westerville, OH

Salary Range:$55,000 - $65,000

FLSA:              Exempt/Salaried

Job Description

Broadband Express, a leading residential cable installation company, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst.  This position will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to insure information is readily available for business decision-making. This position will assist in the development and support of the vision and strategic business objectives within the context of information technology. This position will be part of the information services department and report to the Manager of Information Technology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with technology staff and the business leaders.


• Translates business requirements into functional specifications used for enhancements to the system or new development of usable information for business leaders.


• Builds logical models and provides quality documentation for system design and development


• Coordinate value added business projects and drives projects to successful conclusion


• Assists in the creation of test plans and their execution to ensure the accuracy, integrity and usability of applications


• Design, develop, and implement solutions to satisfy user requests for specialized functionality.


• Develops and publishes complex end user queries and reports, as needed

• ERP implementation experience


• Ability to migrate access databases standard platform


• SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 - utilize SQL and/or SQL Tools to analyze data and create reports in response to that data.


• Strong skills building

Experience Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent education and/or work experience in a technology role.


• Experience with Crystal Reports


• Experience with Dynamics – SL (Solomon)


• A solid understanding of database environments, particularly within SQL Server and Access environments


• Knowledge of Windows SharePoint Services & Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2007


• Knowledge of the SDLC


• Systems Analyst background with hands on technical experience
