Aclara Software is seeking a high-energy Business Systems Analyst to join our Professional Services team in Tempe, AZ. or Reston, VA (outside of Washington, DC). The qualified candidate should take great pride in delivering high-quality system implementations to satisfied customers in the energy industry. You will be required to support the implementation of Aclara’s three-tier software products and work with a team of project managers, system engineers, developers and other analysts.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Gathering business and functional requirements through client engagements
- Preparing functional designs of product customizations and features
- Performing complex data analysis tasks
- Preparing test plans & scripts and executing test cases
- Conducting customer training and developing training materials
- Providing system support and troubleshooting
- Work closely with customers and the implementation team to deliver successful implementations.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree and 1-2 years of related work experience or a strong interest in building a career in the energy software industry. We are also looking for more qualified applicants with a Bachelors or Masters degree with 2-4 years of analyst work experience in the energy industry or software implementation.
- Strong analytical skills (including proficiency in Excel)
- Demonstrated verbal, writing, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, PL/SQL or Access
- Client or “customer-oriented” experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
- Familiarity with TIBCO and web services interactions is a plus
