Job Description


The Business Unit Product Manager is responsible for managing the safety, people, production, and quality of product throughout a production shift. Lead and guide the development of supervisors and leads so they are able to effectively produce to goals and expectations. Interrelate with other shift management to ensure continuous improvement of processes and practices. Apply proper people management skills to aid in the effective development of hourly employees.

JOB DUTIES:
    • Direct all manufacturing activities.
    • Train and develop supervisors and employees.
    • Coordinate efficient production schedules.
    • Control labor utilization.
    • Maintain current operational yields and labor standards.
    • Evaluate and recommend improvement in policy and procedure.
    • Maintain cordial relations with peers and employees.
    • Perform supervisor lead evaluations annually, preferably six months before review.
    • Coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
    • Compile manufacturing budgets.
    • Work closely with Human Resources Manager in all disciplinary decisions.
    • Upgrade technical and management skills as deemed necessary.
    • Ensure and enforce company safety policies to provide a safe work environment.
    • Ensure compliance with all food safety, SQF, GMP, HACCP, etc. procedures.
    • Ensure and support the execution, maintenance, and sustainability of the SQF and MOS programs.
OTHER DUTIES:
    • Ensure weekly time sheets are correct.
    • SQF Practitioner is responsible for training and implementation of food safety and quality product.
    • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Business, manufacturing or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in a supervisory position.
