Business User Specialist |

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES The primary purpose of the Business user Specialist (BU) position is to achieve their overall revenue goal. In order to achieve this goal, the BU must create a complete territory business plan that generates 3x their quota in pipeline opportunity. The BU is responsible to identify and qualify opportunities, develop and drive strategy. The BU will develop an opportunity plan containing the value proposition for all of SAP's BU Solutions (GRC, BPC and Business Intelligence) and services to the customers or prospects in that territory. It is expected that the BU be adept at creating and nurturing Executive relationships on their own while positioning the SAP executive team to assist.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS * Works with the SAP AE and VP to develop and execute programs to drive BU pipeline * Works with the AE and Regional VAT to educate them on the BU solution set * Works with VAT team on BU based sales campaigns * Work to uncover and run sales cycles on BU based opportunities as directed by the regional SVP * Support Account Execs in establishing, developing, and expanding business user market share and revenue attainment within named accounts * Lead various sales objectives related to leveraging existing ERP installations via business user solutions; new business opportunities within named customers * Development of business user best practices in securing repeatable and expansive opportunities across named accounts * Lead role in developing the go-to-market and sales plan associate with business user solutions within SAP ERP established customers * Works with the VP of Sales to determine the target ratio of developing net new revenue opportunities between inside accounts and supporting ERP AE on expanding bill of material to business user, position value, etc. as appropriate for each account based on specific circumstances of the each sales team/territory.
WORK EXPERIENCE Requires 3+ years experience in business analytic application software sales; demonstrated history of achieving $3 - $6 million+ annually in software license revenue.
