We are seeking a business writer to handle a wide variety of written communications. This position’s primary duty is to prepare responses to requests for proposal (RFPs), but the position also may involve writing and editing presentations, press releases, website copy and other writing projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


 


The position’s duties include:



  • Write, edit and proofread written sales and marketing materials with close attention to detail


  • Adherence to strict deadlines

  • Ability to track multiple rounds of edits and approvals

  • Interaction with internal subject matter experts (i.e. legal, sales, operations, finance, IT, etc.) to gather information and materials and write responses based on their input

  • Ability to tie together information from different subject matter experts to ensure consistency of voice

  • Prepare/gather RFP supporting documents, exhibits, etc. and prepare hard and soft copy responses

  • Track results of RFP process in conjunction with sales staff

  • Maintain electronic RFP files, question/answer database, exhibit library, reference history, etc.

  • Analyze project requirements and identify potential issues and internal resources needed to complete the project

  • Writing/editing a variety of special projects, including product sheets, press releases, presentations, etc.

 


Requirements:



  • 5-7 years of writing/editing experience in business-to-business environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Marketing or related field

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple projects and handle the unexpected
