Business GE Corporate Business Segment Corporate Finance & Operating Components About Us Payables Solutions, a Division of GE Corporate and Global Business Services, is a shared services organization which provides finance and accounting support for accounts payable, fixed asset administration, and freight payment processing for the GE Company. Payables Solutions also provides ownership and controllership oversight of various domestic and global processes including Escheatment, Unclaimed Properties and Procurement to Settlement processes. Role Summary/Purpose Essential Responsibilities - Contributing team member assisting in technical and process expertise for Accounts Payable processes. - Key Team member responsible for daily operational guidance and trouble shooting. This includes disbursement, rework, and other core AP processing activities. - Key interface with GE Businesses, internal teams, and outsourced suppliers for process control and project implementations. - Drive process improvements through metrics and quality rigor. - Coordinate cross-functional and business interaction to execute and deliver results.- Assist in other operational projects as needed. Qualifications/Requirements - 4 year college degree in Accounting or Finance or related field - 2 + years relevant experience; exemplify strong accounting, project management and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple priorities in a diverse organization.- Experience building positive relationships across business components and functions.- Demonstrated organizational skills.- Proactive, self-motivated problem solver.- Demonstrated ability to create operational guidelines and metrics to facilitate strong process performance. - Ability to effectively communicate, interact and influence across all levels.- Strong PC skills and application usage, including MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint.
