General Summary:
This position is responsible for planning strategies of existing and new products. Top notch candidate will plan materials and communicate requirements to suppliers for products that are used in Tifton’s daily production. The materials that the candidate will be responsible for will be used in the product that we sell to customers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Setting up planning parameters in SAP                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                                &nb sp;                       &nb sp;         
Placing orders for materials supplied and maintaining the orders          &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                  
Follow-up with orders to insure they deliver on schedule          & nbsp;          &nbs p;           & nbsp;          &nbs p;           & nbsp;          &nbs p;           & nbsp;         
Work with engineering, production, vendors and corporate sourcing to find solutions for problems with parts assigned to the position.                      &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;          
Advise schedulers of parts availability


Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree            &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;    
May consider 4-6 years equivalent planner/buyer experience in a manufacturing facility            &nb sp;                       &nb sp;      
Prior experience with SAP a preferred          ;    
Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Negotiation,strategic thought leadership,cross-functional team collaboration and influence
Technical skills,understanding financial acumen,strong analytical skills and people management potential                      &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;                       &nb sp;               
Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Excel; Access is a plus            ;           &n bsp;            ;           &n bsp;            ;           &n bsp;            ;           &n bsp;      
Good written and verbal communications skills
