-Issue RFQ's where history does not exist or a quote is outdated in order to obtain competition for order placement. Assimilate quotes; analyze data; complete required documentation, negotiate for best value; obtain appropriate signature; issue purchase orders; provide follow-up.

-Reviews order messages and prepares purchase orders.

-Confers with suppliers to obtain product availability and delivery schedule.

-Manages MRP material parameters (message logic investigation/action, periods of supply, lead times, etc.).

-Coordinates schedule for Goodrich-supplied material at the time Purchase Order is placed. Verifies quantities supplied and delivered.

-Manages physical inventory counts for Goodrich-owned material at vendors.

-Participates in assigned Program(s) Change Board(s).

-Responds to Engineering Change Orders by revising existing Purchase Orders.

-Manages supplier invoices, including 'actioning' payment and resolving problems as required.

-Confers with suppliers to obtain product availability, and deliveries.

-Manages supplier metrics in coordination with the program analyst to ensure that parts not delivered along with early and late deliveries are correct prior to the final publication of divisional metrics.

-Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.

-Experience in material planning, inventory control and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment

-Experience with ERP

-Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business procedures and government regulations

-Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

-Previous aerospace experience preferred

-Certification preferred - APICS
