Buyer Purchasing Manager to 60K

Our client, a Fortune 500 supplier to both industrial and
consumer products firms seeks Buyer with a strong background in Raw Materials
with a multi-plant global organization. This position will pay a base of $55-60K
plus an excellent benefit package.



 



As Buyer – Raw Materials, you will work with the Supply
Chain team and numerous manufacturing facilities on a global basis. You will be
in charge of key commodities involved in the manufacture of the company’s line
of industrial products. You will be in charge of various commodities such as packaging,
chemicals, paper, resins, and other basic materials.



 



SKILLS / EXPERIENCE



 



A minimum of  2-4
years in Purchasing with experience in the 
Raw Materials area.  We prefer
experience from a Fortune 500 multi-plant, manufacturing firm.



 



You must have a track record of proven success in cost
reduction and productivity improvement using innovative approaches to Supply
Chain Management.



 



Experience in E-Commerce, E-Auctions, E-Sourcing is
preferred. We prefer a candidate who has been managing a total spend of $10M-$20M+
preferably within the paper industry.



 



Excellent knowledge of systems, such as SAP, ERP, MRP, JD
Edwards is preferred... Six Sigma background and experience in Lean
Manufacturing is also highly desired. Degree required, MBA preferred.



 



 



COMPENSATION



 



Excellent package includes a base of $55-60K plus a bonus,
401K plan, outstanding medical and other benefits.
