The C# Developer should have minimum 3-5 years current experience with service oriented architecture (SOA), web services or ASP.Net applications. Working knowledge in Visual Studio 2005/2008 is essential as well.

The Developer should also have a history of writing SQL against an enterprise level database such as SQL Server or Oracle. Current technology includes: Microsoft C#, Visual Studio 2005/2008, Win 2000/XP desktop platforms, Microsoft Windows Server technologies 2003/2003, basic networking (TCPIP, LAN-Wan, network topology as it relates to applications), MS Office Suite- Office 97 and forward (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SQL Server client server environment (Wintel and RS-6000/UNIX, Oracle, Microsoft)

Developer supports critical  applications including, but not limited to, supply chain, financial, order processing and inventory systems to support S&S business. Critical S&S business initiatives are supported by this role.
This position is responsible for participating in all phases of application development, performing such activities as analysis and design, programming, hardware and software evaluations, and user interactions. Developers may be required to manage the day-to-day aspects of projects.

 

  • Works with other developers and business analysts to develop and write applications systems and programs
  • Develops documentation and help in partnerships with Business Analysts
  • Provides guidance and assistance to the applications users and support teams on all aspects of application deployment, training and support including- installation, configuration, super user training, end user training, first and second tier support, first and second tier troubleshooting
  • Provides clear, consistent, and regular communication with all project stakeholders at all levels, including presentations to Sr. Management, creating agendas and meeting minutes
  • Identifying and resolving project issues, including issue tracking and escalation
  • May assist the Application Manager (or Director) in the creation of project plans. Should have responsibility for some plans as well
  • Actively participates in applications planning/ strategy meetings and provides input on the most appropriate and effective use of applications
  • Develops software code that conforms to IT standards for quality and conformity
