C++ Software Design Engineer

Job Description:
For this contract position as a Developer you will be working on the new release of a widely used software product.

The major deliverable is a large-scale overhaul of product code to improve existing annotation through the use of SAL. SAL is a code annotation language that provides the compiler additional "hints" about the correct usage of functions and libraries. The candidate will work with the central security team and each major product unit to meet this goal in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Annotating the code base with SAL annotations that will enhance the effectiveness of existing static analysis tools
  
• Working with product units to understand issues identified by the static analysis tools and take appropriate action

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience
  
• Experience with C++
  
• Strong communication skills
  
• Solid understanding of security problems such as buffer overflows, integer overflows, and general memory corruption
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field required, Master's degree preferred and may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
  
• Experience with SAL and other static analysis tools is highly desirable but not required
