Web Developer
PTC is seeking a Web Developer to join its Information Technology department in Needham MA, local candidates preferred.  

The candidate should have a strong SharePoint technical background and enjoy working in a fast-paced team atmosphere.
Responsibilities Include:
• Consult with project teams to help translate functional requirements into technical specifications
• Utilize development skills and experience to customize and enhance PTC’s SharePoint implementation
• Author technical documentation
• Work closely with the web system administrators to aid with system uptime and performance
• Troubleshoot issues within the SharePoint environment
Required Technical Skills
• Expert knowledge of programming with: XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, AJAX, .NET, C#
• Some experience of the Microsoft web application stack including: IIS, .NET, SharePoint Server (MOSS), SharePoint Designer
• Previous experience developing/customizing, supporting, and debugging enterprise SharePoint Server applications
• Previous experience with the following is a plus: Java, UNIX, SQL
• Previous experience with web 2.0 or social media applications a plus
Required Soft Skills
• Customer and peer relationship focused
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to learn new skills/technologies quickly and independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent problem-solving skills
Experience

BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or related area.

Some experience in the development and support within the MOSS 2007 environment

3-5 years experience with intranet/internet/extranet web design and/or enterprise document management


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Computer Science
3 years programming experience
