Position Description

CAD Designer III

Job Description:
Under the Sanitary Engineering Department this position will develop design drawings, layouts, and specifications for engineering projects, including new, revised and modified products.

Some responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Develop a proficiency in the use of Kohler Co. SAP Database software system and basic knowledge of (KOS) Kohler Operating System.

Prepare Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Notifications, and Engineering Change Requests.

Specify materials and finishes for products.

Evaluate tolerance stackups to insure proper fit of components and develop a thorough knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing Techniques.

Design parts that require the use of computer analysis to simulate structural and/or fluid engineering to meet product specifications with the guidance of a product engineer.

Develop information for product installation, specification, and service part pages.

Oversee and coordinate the development of prototypes.

Enhance CAD skills to a level of proficiency such that full system utilization is near.

Education Requirements:
Associate degree in Design Drafting and a minimum of three years experience one of which must be working with Pro E.

Associate degree in a related field and a minimum of five years drafting experience two of which must be working with Pro E.
