Our client is a small but very stable medical device company with a strong track record of profitability and year over year revenue growth. They develop medical device products that focus on treating a variety of niche ailments.



Job description:



The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating, modifying and completing, various drawings, figures and illustrations, for engineering, manufacturing and documentation customers.

Have advanced working understanding of computer aided design software tools; Autodesk Inventor experience highly desirable. 

Must be able work independently to complete assigned tasks, communicating regularly with his or her supervisor and customers, to meet customer needs.

Will research and gather necessary information from customers and vendors to provide a complete deliverable that meets customer quality and time expectations.

Create quality computer generated models and geometry, using advanced techniques and methods, to complete drawing or figure layouts which meet company and industry drafting standards.

Must be able to create and design advanced tooling fixture and product designs to support engineering and manufacturing functions. Advanced design skills may be focused on specific engineering or manufacturing skill sets. For example: Mold design, advanced fixture and machine design.

Create and modify released documentation per approved markups, following company defined processes while meeting quality and accuracy standards.

Qualifications:



 



  • Autodesk Inventor Proficiency 
  • 2-5 years of design drafting experience
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD & T)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints
  • Experience with precision measurement tools
  • Associates Degree in Drafting and/or Engineering
