We are currently seeking a CADD Technician who will prepare CADD drawings (plans, layout and details) for assigned projects in accordance with standards (i.e., DOT) and department procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Prepares project plan and detail sheets.

·         Makes accurate revisions to plans based on mark-ups.

·         Perform quantity take-offs.

·         Organizes project files.

·         Create 3D drawings for projects and 3D images for marketing.

·         Assist with organization of libraries for standard symbols.

·         Assist with backup of files as needed.

·         Provide input for CADD procedures manual.

·         Participates in CADD meetings.

·         Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be proficient with MicroStation in an engineering environment, with a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in the production of bridge structural plans. Familiarity with ODOT CADD standards is a requirement.  Must know project set-up, element attribute settings, use of cell libraries, ODOT QC procedures, and general CADD functions. Knowledge of working with macros and electronic delivery a plus. In addition, knowledge of MS Excel & Word, as well as computer skills such as networking, hardware/software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting are desired.
