Responsibilities:

* Develop manufacturing processes related to extreme precision optics manufacturing, especially computer controlled polishing of aspheric optics.

* Perform a variety of engineering tasks including planning, coordinating and performing high-level process design related to manufacturing optical components & sub-systems; work with input and supervision from department heads; and oversees project activities, such as process simulation and improvement.

* Interact with computer hardware and software; provide periodic data to supervisors; and establish goals, plans and work schedules.　 Special focus on computer controlled polishing of aspheric optics.

Qualifications

BS/MS/PhD and 4 years of experience with optical component manufacturing
