Job Description

CDS Commercial Manager

The individual in this role will provide marketing and sales support for the Chromatography Data System (CDS) product to assist SID LC/GC CDS sales.  They will lead product sales training, conduct customer presentations and demonstrations on the product, participate in web seminars, trade shows and key account demonstrations of the new CDS.  This individual will provide commercial LC and GC channels with sales/ technical support, and product information/positioning against competitive product offerings.  Additionally, providing Marcom with technical and marketing content on CDS products to enable timely and accurate creation of Marcom materials (brochures, data sheets, etc.) will be required.  Participating in the execution of key CDS promotional programs (webinars, direct mail, telemarketing programs, product upgrade programs) is also essential to this role.  This qualified candidate will assist in forecasting, lead generation, and key account management for CDS product growth.  This position will be the primary marketing face point for the product with the SID commercial channel.  Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.  Expected travel up to 40%.


We require an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in the sciences field.  We also require a minimum of 5 years experience with Chromatography (LC and GC) and CDS software sales.  Strong verbal and written communication skills in speaking, writing and delivering customer presentations is required.  Demonstrated proficiency of Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement is also required.
