CEQA NEPA Project Manager - En...
Sequence is seeking one or two mid- to senior-level CEQA/NEPA Project Managers to expand the Energy, Renewable and Infrastructure practice group for one of our most respected environmental clients in their regional office.
One of the most exciting independent firms currently working in the energy and infrastructure space here in California, they are leading the way in renewable energy, infrastructure and power-based environmental consulting services.
Ideally, we are seeking key mid- to senior-level project management personnel to immediately take on project work and help further develop out the practice. Primarily, consideration would be on finding able personnel that could manage and direct energy projects through process, develop documentation, mentor / develop junior staff, cultivate current client relationships, and market or cross sell.
Specifically, we're seeking individuals with at least 5 to 8 years of progressive experience for mid-level posts and 10 to 15 years for more senior staff capacities. Focus will primarily be on project process and compliance and development of CEQA / NEPA compliance documentation (EIR, EA, EIS, etc.). This includes providing project management and technical guidance in the design, writing and development of the overall projects, plus overseeing all reports, budgets, schedules and scopes of work, training and client relations. Key is having individuals that are capable of moving projects through the environmental process and providing strategic direction to compliance / permitting activities.
The client is requiring previous experience and expertise in CEQA / NEPA compliance regulations and environmental permitting. Though often their efforts are more in higher lever strategic components and guiding the compliance process rather than being a down and dirty CEQA / NEPA shop per say (though that previous experience and knowledgebase is required). Furthermore, knowledge and experience conducting transmission, pipeline, infrastructure and renewable energy activities would be desired. In lieu of technical proficiency specifically with energy and power projects, the firm would be willing to talk to very diverse and talented CEQA or NEPA practitioners with the ability to learn or adjust to energy and infrastructure type undertakings. What is really important here is the ability to undertake often more linear projects with multiple jurisdictional aspects and engage clients in providing what are often difficult problem solving solutions.
The positions generally require a degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Biology or related discipline. Exceptional project management, staff mentoring and strong written / verbal communication skills are desired.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants applying through our corporate website at: www.sequencestaffing.com. Or, please submit to:
