CIVIL / STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Trussed, Inc. has an immediate opening for a part-time Civil / Structural Engineer / EIT for the design of shear wall panels.  Experience in design of Multi-Story (up to 5 levels) Wood Constructed Multi-Family Buildings with emphasis in heavy shear wall panel design preferred.  Only residents of Southern California with the ability to commute to our office location in the City of Perris will be considered. Starting salary of $24/hour, depending on qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Perform structural analysis of wood truss walls to resist vertical and lateral demand loads for single level and multi level shearwalls. Seismic and wind design of primarily light framed wood buildings including single family to multiple story multiple family residential and commercial.

·         Develop submittal packages / construction documents for review by the Engineer of Record and Building Officials.

·         Coordinate with project Engineer of Record to obtain structural demand loads.

·         Provide technical guidance to CAD Operators, Designers, and Engineers. 

·         Responsible for communicating information to all concerned personnel.

Requirements:

·         Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) acceptable.

·         Interest in residential and high density construction.

·         Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or working towards degree.

·         Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:  Code analysis, seismic analysis, and wind analysis.

·         Must be extremely well organized with the ability to deliver fast and accurate turnaround times.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Must be team oriented and enjoy service-oriented type of work.

·         Must have superior customer service skills.

·         Must conduct business in an honest and ethical fashion at all times.

·         Must have the ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
