Freedman Seating Company a leading manufacturer of bus and commercial truck seats located on the west side of Chicago has an immediate opening for a CNC Programmer/Laser Machine Programmer for their first shift.  This position is responsible for the daily programming of the CNC/Laser machine. 

• Selects, measures, assembles, and sets machine tools, such as drill bits and milling or cutting tools, using precision gauges and instruments.

• Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work piece on machine, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

• Determines specifications or procedures for tooling set-up, machine operation, work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences, using blueprints, instructions, and machine knowledge.

• Calculates and sets machine controls to position tools, synchronize tape and tool, or regulate cutting depth, speed, feed, or coolant flow.

• Loads control media, such as tape, card, or disk, in machine controller or enters commands to retrieve programmed instructions.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years manufacturing experience with a laser machine similar to Mazak or Bystrome.


• Must be able to perform CNC programming and general set ups.


• Must have the ability to read blue prints.


• Must have ability of measuring and inspecting parts using quality control equipment.
