Selected individual will be responsible for analyzing tooling and part design to program parts per given dimensioning data. Will understand machining capabilities to optimize processes and cutting tool technologies to make adequate choices while creating tool path and work concurrently with manufacturing engineers and CNC operators to develop the most efficient processes. Will also use computer aided systems for creating G codes using machinery up to 5 axis, ensure 100% part completion per blueprint and create maintenance updates as required. Will work on productivity improvement based on program and tool path simplification, using adequate feed/speed as well as perform design troubleshooting of part inaccuracy and work in a timely manner with respect to quality and schedule.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent background working with machinery and 1 to 3 years programming experience.
Must have knowledge of computer aided systems for creating G code using machinery with up to 5 axis. Must also be able to understand material characteristics and have excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Master Cam, Pathtrace and DMS program knowledge and experience are preferred.
