Job Description:

The Six Sigma COE supports the Allstate Enterprise in achieving operational excellence and consumer focus through the application of the Six Sigma methodology. Six Sigma is used for process improvement, process design, and in the implementation of new processes, services, and products. Six Sigma projects are selected based on their impact on operational risk, customer experience, and shareholder value. Services provided by the COE include consulting, training and coaching, and leading strategic AOR and Enterprise-wide projects. SCOPE OF JOB This position reports to the Enterprise Engagement and Strategic Project Leader and will be responsible for supporting or occasionally leading process improvement activities across Allstate's AORs by using the appropriate Six Sigma tools and methods to achieve project objectives. This candidate must be capable of delivering work with limited supervision and direction, possess a basic understanding of insurance and related processes and be capable of facilitating tools and team activities. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - Support and occasionally lead projects and project teams
- Facilitate and present Six Sigma tools
- Assist in project scoping, timeline development and deliverable measurement
- Assist with project implementation, ownership transition and control
- Work activity reporting (Prism or like tool)
- Leadership presentations
REQUIRED SKILLS - Professionalism
- Communication and Presentation skills
- Experience in Process Excellence methodologies (Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, LEAN)
DESIRED SKILLS - Participation on Six Sigma project team
- Certified Six Sigma skills (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean)
- Change management methodologies
- Minitab
Education/Certification: College degree required PMP certification is a plus Six Sigma Belt certification is a plus Computer Proficiency The individual must be highly skilled in using MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio. Experience with Access is a plus.
