US - NEW YORK - NYC
Real Estate Management Co. seeks a Collections Clerk for it's housing division in New York City. Specific responsibilities and duties will include:
- Coordinate all phases of the collections process, such as: Review rent collections reports from Accounts Receivable Dept.
- Prepare listings of tenants to receive late charges and second request for payments.
- Prepare list of tenants to receive Warrants (72 hour notices), and review with Property Manager.
- Coordinate with Property Manager and Account Receivable Billing Unit, on tenants, who claim errors.
- Contact attorneys to order warrants for tenants after obtaining sign off from Property Manager
- Monitor payments from tenants for whom warrants have been issued.
- Coordinate Court appearances with Attorneys, Property Managers.
- Receive, process and monitor legal stipulations entered into by the Courts, forward copies to Property Managers.
- Coordinate evictions with Attorneys, Marshals, and Property Managers.
- Follow up with Collections Agencies, etc.
Experience, Skill and Educational Requirements:
- Two (2) years experience in a collections department, accounts receivable department, or a residential property management office.
- High school graduate, with some college course work completed.
- Strong Communication, Customer Service and Organizational Skills.
- Computer literate, Microsoft Office Suites, Outlook, etc.
- Bi-lingual a plus
