CONTRACT SPECIALIST - DIRECT FED EXP (GS-1102 series)

Martek Global is a Maryland based company that have been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of Acquisition talent throughout the DC, MD and VA area.  We are currently looking for Contract Specialists who have the ability to manage a rigorous workload for our busy clients.  In exchange for the right candidate, you will be rewarded with a well paid, fully benefited and an exciting opportunity.

 

Title:Contract Specialist (GS-1102 series 11,12,13 or 14 Levels Only)


Location:Various locations available through out DC, Maryland and Virginia


Job Responsibilities:

  • Performance of pre and post award federal procurement functions for a variety of complex, high dollar acquisitions.
  • Preparation of contractual files and electronic documents is also required.
  • Work requires thorough research, analysis and   reviews of all applicable policies, guidance and regulations to support Government Contracting Officer decision-making.
  • Assist with strategic requirements review and consolidation, acquisition strategy development, request for proposal development, industry days, and other pre-award duties to support Government Contracting Officer.
  • Must have the ability to prepare all supporting contract documentations to the point of signature for the government.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree with a business concentration from an accredited college or university or 2 years of experience for 1 year of education may be considered.
  • In-depth working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the ability to perform complex cost and pricing data analysis is required.
  • At least five (5) years relevant federal experience in contracting with involvement in a direct leadership/management role is a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Executive level writing skills and computer skills with the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Your resume will be our first indication of how this is accomplished.
