Chief Operating Officer - Ingenix Clinical Assessment Solutions

The Ingenix Clinical Assessment Solutions (CAS) business unit seeks a Chief Operating Officer that will be responsible for formulating business strategies and operational plans to ensure the competitive position and profitability of our business. The COO will work closely with General Manager to address strategic issues revolving around the business and to help chart the direction for the organization's future.
 
CAS helps organizations by improving chronic condition identification to increase health outcomes and payment accuracy at managed Medicare and Medicaid plans.  We excel in financial analytics, and we leverage our risk adjustment knowledge and revenue cycle processes to promote early detection of disease that benefits the patient.  CAS is unrivaled in the depth of provider field outreach and engagement to support accurate screening, documentation and submission of member conditions to CMS.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Translating business vision and strategy into operational tactics and building the operational support and infrastructure.

  • Establish business metrics required to meet client needs, financial targets and key goals.

  • Assertively and independently run the operating business in a manner that systematically improves operational execution and delivers on CAS's revenue targets.

  • Establish and oversee controls to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities to create new programs and/or optimize existing programs that will transform provider and member behavior.

  • Lead/co-lead negotiations with new and existing customers.

  • Assess operating business risks/opportunities and identify strategies to mitigate/capitalize as appropriate.

  • Direct due diligence and integration of new business.

  • Identify areas of differentiation within the business marketplace.

  • Ensuring health information and data privacy controls are measured and refined. 




  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in business or operations is preferred.

  • At least 10 years of progressive management experience of complex Healthcare operational functions in a matrixed environment.

  • Prior P&L experience of 20M highly preferred; Budget responsibility of 10M minimum requirement.

  • Broad functional capabilities including product management, strategic planning, sales operations, business development, product management, operations, technology, finance and P&L/budget management experience.

  • Experience working in a cross matrixed organization required.

  • Proven experience and familiarity with software design, development and deployment models.

  • Proven experience and familiarity with various software revenue recognition models, ideally in the healthcare industry.

  • Proven track record of optimizing organizations and creating significant operational and productivity improvements.

  • Strong financial background and ability to establish aggressive goals and deliver results.

  • Structures business disciplines to facilitate quick and data-based decisions and ensure accountability for execution. Evaluates outcomes based on qualitative and quantitative measures and adjusts accordingly.

  • Proven track record in effectively leading and managing project management teams to produce on-time, high-quality deliverables with a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Maximizes customer linkages and leverages resources, collaboration and efficiency.

  • Willingness to take calculated risk.

  • Leads inspirationally and nurtures commitment to a common vision and shared values.

  • Anticipates and pushes change through the organization, equipping staff to adapt quickly.
