Northwest Texas Healthcare System is looking for a Chief Operating Officer. Northwest Texas is a 489 acute care for-profit facility. Of the 489, 85 beds are licensed behavioral care beds. Northwest Texas has nearly 14,000 admissions a year, 245,000 outpatient visits and 50,000 ER visits a year. Their Centers of Excellence include Women’s Health, Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Trauma/Emergency Department, Mental Health and Heart.
The following are the job functions of the Chief Operating Officer for Northwest Texas Healthcare System:
• Provide day to day leadership for the operations of the hospital.
• Implement strategy of CEO and Corporation and manage hospital departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of services and profits of the hospital.
• Direct effective quality operations to maximize return on investment and community reputation.
• Increases revenues and income before inter-company allocations.
• Maintain or decrease the effective bad debt rate, achieve the margin percentage, and implement operating cost controls in the areas of staffing, supplies, purchased services, etc.
• Manage and develop employees through appropriate management practices.
• Create a hospital climate to motivate employees to achieve their highest performance by establishing direction, coaching employees, providing feedback, and building commitment.
• Bachelor’s degrees and Master’s degree.
• Must be organized and be able to manage multiple diverse departments.
• Must be detail oriented, focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations, and be able to manage communication with employees and vendors.
• Must be able to motivate, inspire, and communicate with individuals and groups.
