CORPORATE LEGAL ASSISTANT NEEDED ASAP FOR GROWING AGENCY! PARALEGAL WILL ASSIST GENERAL COUNSEL WITH A VARIED AMOUNT OF DUTIES! IMMEDIATE HIRE Administrative oversight of corporate governance activities and certain other key functions in the Office of General Counsel. Responsible for corporate filings, including but not limited to Community Benefits Report and exemptions. Administrative oversight of litigation, actuarial report data collection, government affairs and special projects. Responsible for developing, processing, and analyzing annual departmental budgets. Directs office operations and procedures related to record keeping, preparation of payroll, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, customer service, scheduling and other clerical services. Responsible for managing workflow, scheduling and coverage for assigned administrative support staff and interns. Supervises administrative and paralegal support staff; consistently demonstrates support of the company's statement of Mission and Philosophy by striving for excellence, contributing to the team efforts and showing respect and compassion for patients and their families, fellow employees, and all others whom there is contact at or in the interest of the institute; Analyzes the flow of administrative and other assigned non-clinical work for department/operating group by establishing priorities, assigning and distributing workload and monitoring performance to ensure the efficient completion of assigned tasks and projects; Interviews, hires, trains, supervises schedules, assigns work to and evaluates the performance of assigned clerical, paralegal and other non-clinical staff; rewards, evaluates, and when necessary, disciplines and terminates assigned staff; maintains personnel records for assigned staff; analyzes, researches and develops systems and procedures for record keeping, retrieval and reporting. Prepares complex activity reports for guidance of management; Develops, reviews and updates departmental/operating group policies relevant to assigned responsibilities. Interprets and directs staff to appropriate policy and procedural resources. Sets and models department/operating group standards for behavior and productivity; Performs basic to complex record keeping and file maintenance tasks such as gathering, sorting, and filing materials and data. Identifying need for and preparing plans for new files, filing systems and databases. Processing, verifying and correcting Human Resources documentation. Processing non-reimbursable/reimbursable license requests, ensuring current professional licenses are on file and following up on missing information.
